This PHD research seeks to reframe (Gigatages) digitally montaged images made from 2009- in the form of (Narratages) digitally montaged story sequences. Considering digital technology, in contemporary art and literature: As something that delves back and re-organises reality and history in new and interesting ways, this project specifically aims to explore creative Digital collage/montage methodologies and to consider inter-relationships between image making and writing processes.

MOTIVATIONThe Motivation of this PHD project is to be a way to further understand what these initial GIGATAGE images mean and to think more deeply, how to explore below the surface of their creative iceberg’s in regards to the concepts and the content of these digitally collaged images. Exploring notions of how the internet effects the making of an artwork or a piece of writing (CTrl X/Ctrl V).
